The Safety-PPE Comparison Discipline

Workers' lives depend on the safety approach alarm on their wrist or arm. Brand selection cannot be a marketing or price exercise — it must compare four objective criteria, EK engineers' approach.

1. Detection Physics

  • Electric-field-coupled antenna (correct).
  • Capacitive contact pad (wrong — needs touch).
  • RF-coupled (wrong — many false positives).
  • EK A186/A187 use calibrated electric-field antenna with 50/60 Hz bandpass.

2. Threshold Accuracy
